Up to date: The Phoenicia is now in Southafrika- prepared to start in the next days for the most dangerous and most difficult part of the Expedition- the Cape of Good Hope, a grave for many shattered ships! Welcome page The british-international Phoenician Ship Expedition started in August 2007 in Arwad. The intention was the circumnavigation of Africa in a reconstruction of a 2600 years old phoenician ship: The Phoenicia- leaded by the experienced adventurer Philip Beale and approved by the National Geographical Society. The main focus of this inofficial Website is the report from the crewmembers about the time they stayd on board on the Phoenicia.
